Actress Assault Case :Memory card retrieved, but contents not available

The card was recovered from Adv Raju Joseph, junior to prime accused Pulsar Suni's former advocate Prateesh Chacko

Police have recovered the memory card believed to have been used to record the sexual assault on Malayalam film actress on Feb 17 allegedly plotted by actor Dileep.

The card was recovered from Adv Raju Joseph, junior to prime accused Pulsar Suni’s former advocate Prateesh Chacko. Raju  was summoned for questioning yesterday and left later in the day.

According to an official at State Forensic Lab, the examination of the digital card should have been attempted only by forensic experts. Ordinarily, deleted contents can be retrieved. However there is a chance of the contents may have been wiped out using software that makes retrieval impossible since the custodian lawyer of the card has withheld it till today before submission.

Suni claims to have handed over the card containing visuals to his then lawyer Chacko who is absconding with anticipatory bail pending before High Court.

According to reliable sources, Chacko and Dileep’s manager Apunni will be nabbed soon.

If the memory card obtained from Raju is the one that originally contained visuals is uncertain, they added.
