Chinese man caught transporting two human arms

A 50-year-old man Zheng was detained by authorities at a bus station in Duyun, in China’s Guizhou province, when the security scanner showed two limbs in his bag.

“I asked him what was in the bag and he said it was an arm,” a guard said.

Though he was suspected to have been involved in a murder initially, it transpired that Zheng’s brother was being treated by authorities and had asked for help to transport the limbs.

It is a traditional Chinese belief that the body should be cremated or buried whole after someone has died, in order to be at peace.
